Internal Communication Officer - Somerset West at Rheinmetall Denel Munition

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Assist in developing and implementing internal communication plans and strategies to engage employees effectively and promote a positive organizational culture.
• Support creating and distributing internal communications materials, including newsletters, emails, intranet content, and other relevant platforms.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving internal communication channels, including the company intranet, digital signage, and other relevant platforms.
• Work closely with various departments to gather information, draft communications, and ensure consistency in messaging across the organization.
• Provide photographic services when required.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with RDM sites.
• Facilitate and consult with internal stakeholders to arrange promotional campaigns in all types of media for RDM.
• Collaborate with other communications team members to ensure alignment with external communication efforts and overall organizational goals.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations/Communications or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a Communications environment.
• Familiarity with various communication tools and platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of Adobe Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Keen eye for detail and the ability to craft engaging and effective messages.
• Previous experience in internal communications or public relations would be advantageous.
• Good planning and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and overtime when required.
• Ability to multi-task and be highly organized.
• Ability to handle high levels of confidentiality, be reliable and trustworthy.
• Excellent content, creative writing skills and writing skills.
• Ability to draft press releases and business letters.
• Open to travel for work
