Internship (Talent Pool): Data Analyst at Discovery Limited

Key Purpose

To take guided ownership in the design and modification of business intelligence and MIS systems. The analyst will interact with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs and produce business dashboards and analytical solutions.

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

• Solving ad-hoc analytical problems

• Presenting and communicating solutions

• Building and maintaining PowerBI dashboards and automatic SSRS reports.

• Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing and analyzing data

• Determine how to improve existing business processes

• Determine which processes can be automated

Personal Attributes and Skills

• SQL querying and advanced Microsoft Office skills.

• Diagnostic information gathering.

• Analytical thinking.

Education and Experience

• Matric (Essential)

• Completed a BSc degree in either, actuarial science, statistics and/or mathematics

Specific Requirements:

• May not have completed any previous internship and/or graduate programme in any industry or government institution (Essential)

• No work experience (Essential)

• Between the ages of 22 - 26 (Essential)

• A South African citizen by birth
