IT Security Administrator at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose    

• Provides authorized users the right to use eThekwini Municipality IT systems and services that the municipality hosts, while preventing access to non-authorized users.

This post reports to MANAGER (IT SECURITY)

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Administer access to the various data systems.
• Participates in the reviewing of Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
• Provides Technical support to users for access incidents.
• Provides information with regards to system audits as directed.
• Provide user support on security.
• Conducts periodic system clean-up.

Essential Requirements    

• Grade 12 (NQF level 4) or equivalent and a relevant Information Security certificate.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license
• 2 Years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements    

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) related field.
• 3 years relevant experience
