AltGen is looking for a diligent Junior Accountant to join a renewable energy company based in Cape Town on a 12-month contract. The role will support the team in day-to-day tasks and contribute to projects that drive business performance. The role requires someone who can start immediately.
Responsibilities:
Assist in obtaining documentation for daily operations, audit, cross-border transactions, tax and related requests.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Prepare financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and internal controls
Aid with supplier invoice processing from receiving to processing, payments and supplier reconciliations
Assist with daily postings in the accounting system and various ad-hoc requests from the senior accountant and the finance director
Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and process improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain necessary approvals and strengthen the company’s internal processes.
Requirements:
Diploma/ Bachelor’s qualification in Finance or Accounting
