    Junior Automation Project Engineer

    Mission

    • The role will be responsible for supporting the deployment of Epiroc’s new technology initiatives including upgrades, with a focus on technical expertise in digital & autonomous systems and general engineering principles.

    Main Responsibilities Or Functions

    • Co-ordinate technical projects across capital divisions within the region,
    • Project schedule development and monitoring,
    • Technical document compilation,
    • Interpretation of local legislation to determine its applicability and/or impact on current designs,
    • Co-ordination of multi-disciplinary design teams within the group,
    • Participate HAZOP, FMEA and functional and operational risk assessments,
    • Co-ordination of field service technical team (in agreement with the Parts and Services Manager), for solution implementation, testing and commissioning,
    • Ensure all technical documentation is completed in-line with design requirements, international standards and local legislation,
    • Liaise with customers on technical issues,
    • Assist in planning new projects,
    • Continuous feedback for product development,
    • Identify requirements and prepare scope for new projects, including scope of supply,
    • Develop test plans,
    • Assist in developing case studies and business cases for new projects,
    • Monitor and report on existing projects including progress, costs and quality,
    • Assist in developing procedures including installation guides, product manuals and training manuals,
    • Site visits and field work are a requirement for this position.

    Education And Experience

    • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Information technology)
    • Graduate level position,
    • Understanding technology (software, network, control systems) and operations with specific focus on industrial/mining solutions,
    • Robotics/Mechatronics experience and understanding of hydraulics would be favorable,

    Competence

    • Self-starter and team player
    • Must be able to demonstrate strong engineering competence
    • Strong communication skills
