Key Responsibilities as a Software Delivery Manager
Delivery

Resolves conflicts and removes obstacles or impediments to increase effectiveness of the process and the team as a whole

• Work closely with our Tech Teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and facilitate decision making and support organizational product teams
• Continuously looking for ways to increase team productivity and for growth opportunities
• Identify, investigate, report on challenges and implement solutions
• Investigate process improvements with guidance from the Software Delivery Manager and experiment with promised improvements
• Aim to increase team productivity by process improvements, new team member onboarding and overall team learning

Agile Coaching

• Guide and coaches the Tech Teams
• Know and identify ways to improve on existing team processes
• Contributes to the advancement and adaptation of Agile practices within the organization

Facilitation

• Facilitate sessions where needed (Not limited to Scrum specifici ceremonies)
• Create a safe space for learning in the team; facilitate knowledge sharing
• Utilising online tools to spearhead creative facilitation and adapting to a remote first team environment

Build Team Culture

• Being an active supporter for your team and champion a positive team culture
• Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it

Key Responsibilities as a Line Manager

• Grow and empower directs
• Regular one on ones with direct reports and set up goals
• Collaborate with your directs to plan their career development path
• Conduct regular (quarterly/ Half Yearly) performance reviews
• Manage poor performers
• Champion the onboarding of new team members
• Help to identify a need within teams such as new hires etc.

About you
You have:

• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Relevant work experience preferably influencing team processes
• Excellent leadership abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with software development
• Experience working with multiple teams
• Experience facilitating remote team sessions
