    Key Account Manager

    Job Description    

    • Novus Media has a vacancy for a Key Account Manager. The purpose of this position is to generate print and digital advertising sales that meet and exceed targets. Responsible and accountable for servicing a portfolio of key accounts to grow current sales though well-managed client relationships, for publications and online platforms across our diverse portfolio.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Through a high level of professional and exceptional client contact, actively managing the commercial relationship with clients within your portfolio.
    • Attain monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets related to your client portfolio.
    • Develop and implement key account plans and approaches to maximise revenue inflow from these accounts.
    • Identify and generate new business opportunities for key customers ongoing to achieve predetermined sales targets and margins.
    • Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations to new and existing key clients to negotiate and close deals.
    • Keep all administrative work updated
    • Maintain a high level of relevant industry knowledge.
    • Analyse potential sales opportunities by using data analyses, segmented research and information available to identify the attributes most valued by these potential clients.
    • Use web analytics tools to analyse site traffic and user demographics in support of online campaign proposals and client presentations.

    Educational Requirements    

    • Matric + Marketing/Sales/communication or related tertiary qualification is a prerequisite.

    Experience Requirements    

    • At least 2 years’ experience in digital advertising sales.
    • Negotiation/Sales/presentation skills.
    • Fully end-user computer literate (Microsoft suite).

    Skills and Competencies    

    • The ability to create and maintain good relationships with client accounts
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Able to work under pressure and adhering to deadlines
    • Must be confident with the ability to self-manage activities yet able to work closely with a team
    • Able to identify and realise revenue opportunities related to online advertising
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to take the initiative
    • Should be able to balance creative and business approach
    • Should be passionate about digital advertising and marketing
