Laboratory Technician (Externally Funded) 1 Year Fixed Term Appointment - KRISP

Job description
- Support the KRISP laboratory with conducting research and diagnostic tests to meet project deadlines and allocated turnaround times.
Minimum Requirements:
- B. Tech in Microbiology / virology or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Two years of working experience in molecular techniques such as extraction, PCR and sequencing
- HPCSA-registration as a Medical Scientist or Medical Technologist (Virology)
- Experience with ISO15189 accreditation
Essential requirements:
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail orientated
- Good laboratory practice
