Lead HIS Project Manager at BAO Systems

Reporting to the Digital Health and Informatics Lead, the HIS Project Manager will manage the planning and execution of new products and development of existing HIS products (e.g. Tier.net/EMR), with the goal to improve health information systems (HIS) interoperability, the utility of digital health solutions, and their impact across all levels of the health system. New and existing products include national health information systems; clinical systems, laboratory systems, demographic (HPRS) program monitoring (WebDHIS), differentiated service delivery systems, mHealth, and other systems and subsystems. The HIS Project Manager will be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle.

Responsibilities

:

• Support NDoH to gather and prioritize product and stakeholder requirements
• Work closely with engineering to ensure implementation of agile development practices
• Collaborate with NDoH/PDoH stakeholders to ensure that the HIS meets a diverse set of needs

Required Skills

/experience:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a related field
• Master's Degree required or a combination of education and professional experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the job
• 3+ yrs. in digital health and development
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects on varying timelines required
• Ability to conduct research efficiently and effectively using online tools
• Experience in implementing agile development methodologies

Preferred Skills/experience

• Collaboration with the South African NDoH or PDoH
• Support to HIV/AIDS and PEPFAR programming
• Possession of a strategic, diligent, collaborative and creative approach to problem solving
• Ability to communicate effectively with high-level external partners and internal staff
