    Learning and Development Consultant

    THE ROLE

    The main purpose of the role is to foster a culture of learning and development within the organization through effective creation and implementation of learning material / course content and managing internal online learning platforms to successfully align to business needs.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Implement Axonify Microlearning Platform: management of overall project plan  
    • Manage users in platform, assign content, maintain rewards
    • In conjunction with the Learning and Development Manager, design new course content aligned to business / operational requirements
    • Review the Company’s programs of teaching and learning to assess opportunities for online delivery and content that can be redesigned/enhanced.
    • Incorporate motivating and interactive training techniques to enhance the training experience, to maximize learning and retention.
    • Liaison with the team and Axonify to ensure successful technical set up and ongoing system maintenance and integration
    • Enable and support all staff in the training and business curriculum changes needed to utilize new technologies and learning materials
    • Conduct and facilitate training, assess and evaluate, measure ROI/ROE of training interventions
    • Provide ongoing monthly, quarterly and annual training reports as required

     JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric
    • Experience on a design platform (Axonify, Moodle etc.)
    • NQF 6 (3 to 4 year Human Resources, Learning and Development or related tertiary qualification)
    • SDF accreditation advantageous
    • Minimum 2-3 years in a learning and development environment with specific experience in training, systems, facilitation and course content design, project management, learning systems/E Learning.
    • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office
    • Experience with an e-learning or microlearning platform, preferably Axonify
    • Experience in learner behaviour and motivations
    • Experience in question writing and design, ability to view all elements of training and blend into coherent leaning experience
    • Knowledge of SDA, General HR Processes, Project management and organizational knowledge
    • IT, hardware, software and server maintenance knowledge
    • Strong data analysis ability
