Lecturer: Graphic Design (Independent Contractor) at Vega School

Reporting to Head: Academic

The IIE’s Vega School Pretoria campus is seeking a part time Lecturer (Independent Contractor) for the first semester of the 2023 academic year.

Job Purpose:

Lecturer and academic delivery to ensure students are guided and supported in their learning to achieve module outcomes.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• ​BA Honours (HEQSF 8): Graphic Design/ Visual Communication Design/ Information Design

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• Graphic Design/ Visual Communication Design/ Information Design/ Illustration fields.
• Lecturing experience in Illustrator.
• Portfolio required to show examples of work.

Key Performance Areas:

• Preparation and lecturing as per the Module Guide
• Teaching curriculum outcomes as per contract hours and stipulated per pre agreed timetable
• Briefing students for assignments and providing feedback in a timeous manner
• Presenting class marks and feedback to the Module Discipline Leader and discuss appropriate interventions for improved student success
• Actively engaging with current trends in teaching and learning strategies within The IIE’ Vega School environment.

Working Conditions:

• Please note that this is an Independent Contractor position
• Positions are part-time, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:30
