Lecturer: Management Accounting at Vaal University of Technology

Key performance areas include but are not limited to:

• Provide academic leadership within the field of Management Accounting.
• Teach and assess at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; develop and enhance the
• Management Accounting curriculum, contributing to the ongoing development, maintenance, and quality control of the programme.
• Lead research initiatives in the field of Accountancy, producing accredited research outputs and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Build and maintain industry relationships, including consultancy work and collaborative research.
• Engage with the community through participation in flagship programmes and projects.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the line manager.

APPLICATION CRITERIA:
Qualifications and Experience:

• A master’s degree in management accounting, or possession of CIMA, ACCA or CA(SA) designation.
• Strong knowledge of the theory and application of Management Accounting.
• A minimum of three years of tertiary teaching or related industry experience.
• Research experience with published outputs in DHET-accredited academic journals and presentations at conferences will be an advantage.
• Affiliation with a relevant professional body is advantageous.
