All academics are responsible for disseminating knowledge (teaching and learning), creating knowledge (research), and engaging with the community, and for recognising differences in the execution of these responsibilities across the various departments and Faculties. Academics are also expected to assume administrative, management, and/or leadership duties at the departmental, faculty, and/or university levels.
In addition, a Professor and an Associate Professor are to provide academic leadership in the following areas: teaching and learning; research and community engagement; and contribute towards the institution's governance. This professor's leadership contribution should be evidenced at the departmental, faculty, and institutional levels.
The Requirements
At least a BCom (Honours) in Accounting, Auditing, Taxation or Management Accounting and Finance or PGDip (Accounting) or equivalent, preferably with progress being made towards a Master's or CA.
Tutoring or facilitation experience required. No teaching experience is required.
Ability to teach in the following disciplinary areas: Accounting, Auditing, Taxation or Management Accounting and Finance
No research supervision required
Track record of administration (may be in student roles), and/or leadership roles (leadership roles may be informal)
