Description

• To maintain and optimise low- and high-level instrumentation, control equipment and systems. Coordinate, manage and support activities in responsible area

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Safety, Health, Environment and Quality:
• Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate and manage SHEQ matters 
• Ensure adherence to SHEQ policies and procedures
• Compliance to FMT SHEQ requirements, statutory regulations, and adherence to legislation
• Customers:
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Business Processes:
• Execute work orders, create notifications, and provide feedback on SAP
• Conduct regular plant inspections, identify, and rectify inefficiencies
• Maintaining Instrumentation documentation including drawings
• Maintain and repair all levels of instrumentation, electrical and mechanical parts, components, and equipment
• Communicate if spares, equipment, or other factors were not available for job on the work order and to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Work from heights and in confined spaces and follow the various procedures related to such
• Perform general housekeeping as part of the relevant tasks allocated
• Maintenance and repairs on Gas, water, compressed air monitoring and reticulation systems
• Rotable Management:
• Change out item
• Create PM order detailing item to be drawn from stock
• Create reservation for rotable on PM order
• Create subsequent notification
• Complete all fields on the “Damage” tag on the return item to rotable store
• Physically transport damaged rotable to lay down area
• Mobile Equipment:
• Lift and move loads by means of a forklift
• Handle loads by means of an overhead crane, Hoist and or Lifting Tackle and or machinery
• Operate Aerial/Boom/Cherri Picker

• N6 Certificate with trade test in Instrumentation (External candidates)
• N3 Certificate with trade test in Instrumentation (Internal candidates)
• 3 years’ experience in field instruments
• Computer literacy (proficient in MS Office)
• PLC and SCADA training and experience
