Maintenance Manager - Durban at Pollock & Associates

Reporting to the Plant Manager. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a track record of optimising maintenance operations. Skilled in strategic planning, resource management, and implementing world-class maintenance systems. Proficient in measuring and reporting on maintenance performance, staff development, and budget control. Effective in ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. Adept at project management and committed to ISO standards and safety protocol

Qualifications:

• Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
• GCC Factories (non-negotiable)
• Trade  Tested – Millwright
• Advanced Computer Literacy – MS Office, ERP (Sage) System

Experience:  

• 5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing plant in a similar role.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to meet organisational performance goals within budgets and timelines.
• Ensure adequate resourcing for the Maintenance Team to achieve organisational objectives.
• Implement world-class maintenance systems to keep up with industry norms.
• Monitor, measure, and report on maintenance issues and development plans.
• Manage and develop direct reporting staff while addressing training needs.
• Manage and control departmental budgets and liaise with other managers to align maintenance objectives with organisational needs.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, legal, and environmental requirements.
• Plan and manage annual plant maintenance and improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and safety standards.
• Serve as a GMR 2 for the site and maintain LSS, PSM Policy, and 5’s principles
