Exercise supervision on a full-time basis over the installation work which is not performed by you, whilst it is in progress;
Ensure that the work is done in a safe manner and in accordance with all safety standards and by-laws;
Inspect and test all completed work prior to making application for the connection of the electrical installation to the electrical supply, and
Complete or request a certificate of compliance if no exemption has been obtained from this requirement.
Ensure that inspections of electrical equipment in hazardous locations are performed as required in terms of Electrical Machinery Regulation 9.
Keep proper records of all inspections and tests carried out on all applicable electrical machinery including Electrical Certificates of Compliance for all Electrical Installations.
Inspects diagnoses and tests Equipment, performs Schedule maintenance repairs and performs preventative maintenance activities to keep the facility operating safely and efficiently plus avoiding down time.
Provides emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
Operate simple machines such as power saws, drills grinders to maintain or repair facility equipment.
Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Reads and enterprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services.
Takes part into root cause problem solving exercises.
Shares findings with maintenance planning and engineering on the maintenance job and provides opportunities to improve the maintenance job in the future.
Complies with all safety regulations and maintains a clean and orderly work place.
Execute work according to the standardized work procedures and continuously drive for improvement.
Report all health and safety concerns to their Manager including any accidents, damage to equipment, near-misses and hazards. (Re-Act cards & Guarding & interlocking
Take an active part in HSE initiatives, programmes and training and adhere to LSR; BBS PSM Principles.
Complete work Permits (Hot work, General, working at heights, Confined spaces).
Not to modify/interfere with anything provided to safeguard their health and safety.
Compliance with all site rules and procedures.
Carry out tasks in a safe manner in accordance with training provided ( WI & SOP).
Adhere to Golden Safety Principle and all HSE requirements.
Ensure strict adherence to procedures and work instructions of the company.
Must be able to read Mechanical & Electrical Drawings.
Upkeep of administrative work as required for maintenance department.
Complete all mandatory HSE training.
Provide professional assistance to the factory and upkeep of all equipment on site.
