Manager - Blood Bank at Western Cape Blood Service

Main Purpose:

• To manage the operations of the Blood Bank by maintaining and implementing policies and procedures as well as advise on technical issues relating to patients.
• To manage staff at optimum levels with the available resources in order to provide an efficient service. Perform analysis of sales and expenses as well as assessing information for trends so as to contain operating costs.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• National Diploma in Biomedical Technology/ BTech in Biomedical Technology
• Registration with HPCSA
• Extensive Technical Experience (3 Years post qualification)
• Minimum of 3 years post qualification.
• 1 – 2 years leadership experience

Computer literate

• A combination of the following skills, knowledge and attributes is required:
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Have a friendly disposition and show keen interest in the work. 
• A willingness to work as part of a team is essential
• Attention to detail
