Manager Product Costing (FLIV) at BMW Group South Africa

In this position you will be responsible for leading and developing the team in steering logistic and material costs in the Plant. In addition, this will include the planning, coordinating and executing of the budget and forecast process for all locally manufactured CBU vehicles (incl. options), as well as report on the profitability of existing and new models.

• Costing and establishing pricing for locally produced vehicles including options, material costs, transport costs and other costs of production. You will be responsible for setting of export selling prices in line with Transfer Pricing Policies and Legislation.
• Actively steer, report and implement measures required to achieve Inbound Logistic Cost targets.
• Preparation of Financial evaluations focusing on model and market volume allocation as well as local vs foreign material supply considering local automotive incentives.
• Ensure financial results are completely and accurately recorded to allow for effective decision making.
• Leading ad hoc projects and focus on continuous improvement and efficiency in processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant IFRS and Tax requirements.
• Implement and operate the Internal Control Systems within the current area of responsibility.
• Compliance to quality, environmental and occupational health and safety requirements as per company manuals, procedures and policies, as well as per environmental and occupational safety and health laws.

Qualification:

• CA (SA) / CIMA / B.Com (Hons.)
• Knowledge of manufacturing environments and processes, products and standard costing.
• Ability to lead a team, influence behaviour in order to achieve targets and peak performance
