Relevant Bachelor’s degree, preferable in Information Systems and or related Engineering Qualification
A minimum of eight (8) years’ relevant experience
Managing a complex public transport system and project of technical nature
Excellent communication, report-writing and financial management skills
Knowledge of local government legislation, policies and procedures
A valid driver’s licence.
Key Performance Areas
Lead, manage and oversee the activities and operations of Public Transport Systems Branch including Automated Fare Collection (AFC), Advanced Public Transport Management System (APTMS) and Closed Circuit Television System (CCTV)
Strategically manage the architectural design process, installation, commissioning and servicing of the public transport systems
Effectively manage and oversee implementation of Public Transport Systems projects, programmes and contracts ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
Oversee, manage and implement the Annual Public Transport Tariff adjustments, MyConnect card product sales, new innovations and licensing agreements
Oversee and monitor public transport systems maintenance and repairs
Stakeholder relationship management
Engaging with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at executive and senior level management
Managing personnel performance, productivity and discipline
