Manager Solid Waste Planning and Compliance Management at Drakenstein Municipality

JOB PURPOSE:

• Manage and control key performance and resulted indicators associated with Integrated Waste Management Planning, waste awareness campaigns and waste education in the municipal area through investigation, analysis, and interpretation of operational requirements against the capacity and capability of the Section. Manage immediate, short- and long-term objectives, and monitoring performance levels to achieve preset targets and goals. Manage the implementation and execution of specific administrative procedures, financial control measures, customer support initiatives and regulatory compliance in order to promote sustainable service delivery in the community.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST:

• Relevant B degree

OTHER REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

• Code B Driver’s license
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
• Proficiency in at least 2 of the official languages of the Western Cape
• Sound knowledge of waste management and minimization
• Good management, financial, human relations, interpersonal and communication skills
• Good report writing skills
• Ability to give attention to detail
