Duties
Financial oversight over manufacturing operations throughout the Group
Perform financial functions for manufacturing which include financial reporting, payment allocations, budgeting, expense analysis, cash flow forecasting, invoice generation
Ensure that monthly cost reviews are performed and timely commentary submitted to the Group and Division
Regular variance analysis for usage and production variances
Communication of Manufacturing related KPIs and other efficiency measures
Ensure operational discipline by highlighting areas of non-compliance with policy, procedures, and best practices
Review the effectiveness and adequacy of internal controls, lead the risk assessments for Manufacturing processes and ensure these are adequately mitigated
Represent Finance in Problem Solving/Root Cause analysis/Productivity projects
Work with Inventory and Costing Manager to ensure proper management, recording and reporting of inventories
Calculate production costs and allocate them to respective cost centers/customers and ensure optimal recovery of all production costs
Analyse production variances and ensure that steps are taken to mitigate them timeously
