Work as part of a Market Data Analyst team, leverage specialist analysis & testing tools, frameworks, techniques, and practices to elicit, define and organize business requirements. Translate & document business requirements into user stories & specifications (Full Stack, Cross System) detailing integration points, business & associated risk / opportunities to be realized. Following this analysis, work collaboratively within a broader team during design & delivery activity including assuming responsibility for application testing, continuous improvement, and ongoing support.
Job Description
Business requirement analysis leveraging financial market knowledge (including Business Case);
Proactively build relationships, apply analytical techniques to elicit and validate business (product & service) needs ahead of demand;
Continuous engagement with business to enhance product knowledge;
Translate elicited needs and knowledge acquired into solution design that integrates into a broader framework and is in line with strategic business direction;
Prepare and prioritize the backlog of requirements for the user stories linked to the proposed solutions;
Work collaboratively with both upstream and downstream teams to build a roadmap & vision for the products and services (including detailed analysis requirements & solution scope);.
Define measures of success & key outcomes for various solutions / changes including detailed acceptance criteria for all features;
Define testing requirements (pass or fail test cases).
Support the development of detailed business cases (including defining solution characteristics, effort estimations etc.);
Monitor system stability and resilience during testing and in production;.
Design bespoke data availability and quality metrics to address the needs of each trading desk.
Requirements
At least a postgraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, or finance.
Experience with financial markets, financial instruments and regulation is highly beneficial.
Attention to detail, initiative-taking, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
