    Mascor: Administrative Specialist - Greytown

    Description

    Mascor is a Company consisting of franchised Automotive, agricultural mechanisation, construction, forestry and fuel. With more than 50 years in the industry, we offer prestige brands such as John Deere, Toyota and Warath while our highly skilled staff provides professional and high-quality service and standards of workmanship.

    Mascor is currently looking for an Administrative Specialists at their Head office in Greytown to support the Accounting department by performing clerical tasks such as data entry, processing and recording transactions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Month End Procedures

    • -Action month-end depreciation processes.
    • -Compile accurate, complete and timely month-end required journal calculations.
    • -Assist with processing month-end Journals.
    • -Updating and maintaining the Fixed Asset Register.

    Reports

    • -Accurate and timely completion of all required reports, analyses, and calculations.
    • -Address any queries on reports, analysis and calculations.

    Audits

    • -Prepare all audit files timeously
    • -Assist with audit inquiries timeously and accurately
    • -Completion of all required audit functions

    Reconciliations

    • Complete all required reconciliations timeously.

    Administration

    • system and documentation processing accurately and timeously.
    • complete and timely maintenance of all reports, systems and filing.
    • insurance claims and maintain and update the insurance information of the company.

    General

    • payments as needed
    • journals as needed
    • with all laws and regulations including OHS and franchise requirements
    • company policies and procedures
    • that all communications are done timeously

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Education:

    • Grade 12
    • Financial qualification

    Knowledge:

    • A basic understanding of accounting principles.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

    Experience:

    • Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous.
    • Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
