    Master Data Controller (Centurion)

    Description

    • We’re looking for a detail-driven, systems-savvy, process-loving professional to take ownership of our Master Data environment across ERP and Business Systems. If duplicate vendors make you twitch, inaccurate BOMs keep you awake at night, and clean data sparks genuine joy — you may just be our person.
    • This role is far more than data capturing. You’ll be the guardian of data quality, the architect of governance standards, and the trusted partner connecting Operations, Procurement, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain through reliable, accurate, and actionable information.
    • In short: you’ll help ensure Montego’s business decisions are built on data we can trust.

    What You’ll Be Responsible For

    Master Data Lifecycle Management

    • Create, maintain, and update Master Data across ERP systems (Materials, Vendors, Customers, BOMs, Pricing, etc.)
    • Ensure all Master Data complies with governance standards, business rules, and policies
    • Manage and document Master Data change requests accurately and efficiently
    • Maintain consistency and integrity across connected business systems

    Data Governance & Standards

    • Define, implement, and enforce Master Data standards and governance policies
    • Facilitate and support the Business Data Governance Forum
    • Act as the central custodian for Master Data standards across all business domains

    Data Quality, Validation & Remediation

    • Audit and cleanse Master Data to eliminate duplicates, inaccuracies, and inconsistencies
    • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Production, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate data inputs
    • Support data migrations, integrations, and system upgrades
    • Measure, monitor, and continuously improve Master Data quality metrics

    Reporting, Catalogue & Glossary Management

    • Produce reports and KPIs relating to data quality, completeness, and accuracy
    • Configure and maintain Microsoft Purview and related enterprise data catalogue tools
    • Support data lineage, traceability, and reporting governance initiatives

    Continuous Improvement & Innovation

    • Drive process improvements within Master Data Management practices
    • Collaborate with IT to identify and implement AI-driven automation opportunities

    Project & Stakeholder Support

    • Support business projects, audits, and system implementations with accurate Master Data inputs
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and data integrity across initiatives

     Requirements

    What You’ll Bring

    • Diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration, IT, or related field (NQF Level 5 or equivalent)
    • Valid Code B Driver’s Licence
    • Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, IT, or related field (NQF Level 7 or equivalent) would score you brownie points

    Microsoft Certifications such as:

    • PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst)
    • DP-900 (Azure Data Fundamentals)

    Accredited training in:

    • Dynamics 365 F&O Master Data Management
    • Microsoft Fabric
    • Microsoft Purview
    • or equivalent technologies

    Skills That’ll Help You Thrive

    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Strong ERP and Master Data Management systems experience (Dynamics 365, SAP, Syspro, etc.)
    • Advanced Excel capability
    • Analytical and methodical problem-solving approach
    • Strong process discipline and organisational skills
    • Ability to collaborate across Finance, IT, Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain
    • High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
    • Strong written communication skills
    • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
