    Master Production Scheduler

    Job Overview
    The position will be based in Wadeville, and the incumbent will report to the Operations Manager: Projects and Master Scheduling.

    Develop, maintain, communicate, and drive the Master Production Schedule (MPS) from the 18-month rolling marketing forecast following the Machine Build Planning process. Forecast demands, actual customer orders, and consider the balance of current stock on hand to control inventory. Ensure the MPS is practical and attainable after seeking buy-in from key stakeholders.

    Keep the MPS stable to provide a stable higher and lower-level schedule for an effective manufacturing performance. Plans to be rolled out to the business according to the MPS. The MPS is the main input into MRP and must accept controlled and limited changes.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    • Develop, maintain, communicate, and drive the Master Production Schedule (MPS) from the 18-month rolling marketing forecast following the Machine Build Planning process. Forecast demands, actual customer orders, and consider the balance of current stock on hand to control inventory. Ensure the MPS is practical and attainable after seeking buy-in from key stakeholders.
    • Keep the MPS stable to provide a stable higher and lower-level schedule for an effective manufacturing performance. Plans to be rolled out to the business according to the MPS. The MPS is the main input into MRP and must accept controlled and limited changes.
    • Manage the open slots on the MPS and ensure customer orders are received in time and long lead items (AIO’s) are ordered to the time fence policies as per the Machine Build Process.
    • Consider material availability, capacity and adhere to time fence policies and processes.
    • Use agreed time fences with a frozen period to control the MPS in an organized manner and load requirements to ensure on time delivery.
    • Maintain full control of the MPS, ensure that the MRP creates and loads orders (PN01 & PN02 BOM’s) into the MPS to support the build plan and ready to work dates on Salesforce considering the cumulative lead times of parts.
    • Use the rough-cut capacity-planning (RCCP) model to verify the balance of the workload per period and resource requirements.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Undergraduate qualification (Degree or similar) in Operations, Supply Chain, Projects or similar.
    • 5 – 8 Years experience in an Operations environment with exposure to Supply Chain and Planning.
    • Experience using an MRP (SAP) and CRM System (Salesforce).
    • Strong experience in Microsoft and similar related programs, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    • Ability to conduct higher level planning and analysis at an MPS level with exposure to business acumen.
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, up to global levels.
    • High level of professionalism and quality of work required.
