Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operator - JHB at Maersk Line

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to standard warehouse practices and procedures to maintain high levels of inventory and location accuracy.
• Complete routine documentation accurately, including pick sheets, manifests, and unload lists.
• Operates propane and/or electric powered forklifts.
• Loads and unloads freight as directed by Operations supervisor.
• Verifies shipping documents, shipping labels and purchase orders.
• Utilizes relevant systems to produce required documents for inventory receipt, movement or shipping and verifies product.
• May be required to identify and understand batch codes and Julian dates and to understand ASN use and system requirements.
• Completes daily equipment inspections.
• Maintains safety standards and valid equipment operating certification.

Who we are looking for;

Someone with:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a Warehouse/Distribution Centre, including picking, packing, receiving, shipping, returns, value-added processing, and sub-assembly.
• Forklift driving license is required.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Proven ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations within the business unit.
