Appropriate qualification that allows for registration with HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner. Registration with the HPCSA as Medical Officer. No experience required after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner in respect of SA Qualified employees.
1 year relevant experience after registration as Medical Practitioner with a recognized foreign health Professional Council in respect for foreign qualified employees of whom is not required to perform community service as required in SA.
Current registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner. The following will be an added advantage: The College of Medicine South Africa (CMSA) diploma - Dip PEC(SA) (Diploma in Emergency Care); ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); PALS( Peadiatric Advanced Life Support); ATLS( Advanced Trauma Life Support); ECG training(Electrocardiogram).
Duties :
Responsible to carry out safe and evidence based medical care to patients in the emergency departments. Examine, investigate diagnose and oversee the treatment of patients in the emergency department.
Participate in all educational activities as planned by the unit. Provide supervision, guidance and teaching to medical students, medical interns. Uphold professional conduct and be guided by sound ethical principles in the delivery of care to patients at the Leratong Hospital. Commitment to participate in overtime activities of the department.
