Key Responsibility Areas

• Receives the hand held meter reading units with pre-programmed reading day and reading routes from the Meter Reading Controller.
• Locate and sequence routes and meters that cannot be found as not on the system.
• Obtains the meter reading records accordingly and forward the readings to the Meter Reading Controller for auditing and capturing.
• Investigates irregularities on meter water consumption, high/low readings, crossed meters, illegal connections, burst pipes and water leaks.

Essential Requirements

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent with Maths or Accounting.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 1 Year relevant experience.
• Computer Literacy. 

Preferred Requirements

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent with Maths or Accounting and a Certificate in the Finance field.
• 2 Years relevant experience
