ML / AI Engineer at SoluGrowth Pty Ltd

• The candidate will be designing and evaluating existing machine learning (ML) processes, performing statistical analysis to resolve data set problems, applying algorithms to enhance the accuracy of our internal and client’s digital assets from predictive, prescriptive, adaptive to autonomous capabilities, helping us create artificial intelligent and autonomous digital ready products/solutions.
• The ultimate goal for the candidate will be to shape and build efficient self-learning digital apps, demonstrate solid data science knowledge and experience in creating machine learning models and retraining systems, showing exceptional skills in statistics and programming.
• The person will be reporting to the senior manager and also support and delivery of digital transformation projects within the business and clients. Working closely with our Business Transformation Team and Information Technology Operations delivery teams to successfully deploy machine learning models/projects for the company and its clients.

Responsibilities:

• Consulting with senior managers/managers and business executives to determine and refine machine learning objectives.
• Designing machine learning systems and autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) software to automate predictive models.
• Transforming data science prototypes and applying appropriate ML algorithms and tools.
• Ensuring that algorithms generate accurate user recommendations.
• Solving complex problems with multi-layered data sets, as well as optimizing existing machine learning libraries and frameworks.
• Developing ML algorithms to analyse huge volumes of historical data to make predictions.
• Running tests, performing statistical analysis, and interpreting test results.
• Documenting machine learning processes.
• Keeping abreast of developments in machine learning, research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools
• Develop machine learning applications according to requirements
• Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods
• Run machine learning tests and experiments
• Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results
• Train and retrain systems, when necessary, extend existing ML libraries and frameworks

Requirements

Requirements and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in computational linguistics, data analytics, or similar will be advantageous.
• At least 2-3 years' proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role
• The candidate should have previous consulting background interacting with clients and stakeholders.
• Understanding of data structures, data modelling and software architecture
• Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics and algorithms
• Ability to use and write robust code in Python, SQL, SAS and R including Java, Docker, GitHub, PowerBi, Tableau, GGPlot2, Plumber & Swagger REST APIs etc
• Extensive knowledge and familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch, H2o, MLFlow, Tidymodels, etc ) and libraries (like scikit-learn, Tidyr, Tidyverse, Shiny etc)
• Superb analytical and problem-solving abilities, great communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
