Mobile Crusher Supervisor at Afrimat

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate.

• Heavy equipment certificate.

• 5 – 10 years’ experience in operating mobile crushing plants, preferably with operations in an open pit mine.

• Candidates must be situated in Kuruman, Olifantshoek, Postmasburg and neighbouring areas.

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and keep in balance multiple demands.

• Critical thinking skills with the ability to make good decisions under pressure.

• Ability to safely work day and night shifts on a rotational basis.

Duties and responsibilities (but not limited to the following):

• Maintain good housekeeping on site.

• Ensure that safety standards are adhered to (i.e. lock out procedures are followed, employees wear their PPE and work safely).

• Ensure that the work area, tools / equipment are ready for the day’s production.

• Execute daily tasks as instructed and understand the quality standards for the tasks.

• Oversee production and projects through to completion.

• Supervise Operators and General Workers.

• Investigate if the targets are not reached.

• Manage individual and team performance, coach and develop staff.

The candidate must be medically fit in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Company’s standards for medical fitness.
