Multiskilled Operator (Rasimone) (North West) at Fraser Alexander (Pty) Ltd.

PURPOSE

• To assist operations where FEL/ TLB/ Excavator/ ADT/ Pipe Truck/Grader/ Water Truck are required to make the operating environment safer and more convenient by excavating trenches, cleaning spillages, connecting pipes, and construction of deposition wall and maintenance of access roads.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Requirements

• Operation of FEL, TLB, Excavator, ADT, Pipe Truck, Grader and Water Truck to either load, dig, clean trenches or ditch slimes dam and maintenance of access.
• Adhere to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the specific machine at all times.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards on the machine and surrounding work area.
• General inspections of the machine before and after the shift and complete inspection checklist.
• Comply with all safety rules and site regulations at all times.

Equipment

• Complete pre-shift inspection of the machine at the beginning of every shift and report all faults and problems to the Supervisor.
• Inspect the equipment (machine) and the working area.

Operator Maintenance

• Operate and maintain equipment as per OEM operator manual specifications.
• Check condition of the machine.
• Always ensure cleanliness of machine.
• Ensure lubrication as per OEM specifications.
• Maintain fuel levels in the machine.
• Assist maintenance personnel with tasks when required.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12.
• Valid MQA accredited(FEL, TLB, Excavator, ADT, Pipe Truck, Grader, and Water Truck).

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2-3 years relevant work experience operating in an earthmoving environment.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must pass company and/or client criminal screening processes.
• Valid Code 10 driver’s license.
• Must be physically, medically and mentally fit in accordance with company and/or client standards.
• Successful completion of Dover test.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts as required.
• Availability to work overtime when necessary.
