Grade 1: None after registration with SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
Grade 2: A Minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Nursing Assistant with SANC.
Grade 3: A Minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Nursing Assistant with SANC.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
Duties:
Provide elementary clinical nursing care. Assist patients with activities of daily living which includes patient hygiene, provide nutrition, assist with mobility and elimination processes. Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormal findings. Reporting on patient safety and adverse incidents. Effective utilization of resources. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Actively participating in in-service training interventions.
