Operational Controller at Status Staffing

Role Purpose

The job incumbent ensures sufficient control of all operational cost and revenue streams and is responsible for planning, steering and coordinating the Budget Planning and the operational activities to achieve budget and objectives.

Duties

Business Strategy, Policies and Tools

• Contribute to the definition of the CSC strategy and the translation of this strategy into the CSC budget
• Ensure compliance with the policies provided by region and Corporate
• Assist in developing cost accounting procedures

Managing Business

• Support the development of an annual business plan and budgeting for the CSC based on the corporate/ regional specific objectives and strategy in coordination with the relevant interfaces
• Ensure the development and implementation of short- and mid-term planning of cost blocks in coordination with other relevant interfaces.
• Ensure efficient and timely corrective actions in case of significant deviations
• Oversee the CSC’s economic and operating performance.
• Ensure that the CSC is managed and controlled efficiently in line with the company’s framework and market requirements.
• Lead the CSC to achieve the budget targets and initiate corrective actions if necessary
• Manage the CSC’s CAPEX budget and provide monthly reports
• Define Controls to ensure operational departments keep track of cost and performance target
• Establish consistent costing links between specific and flights labour cost per department as well as material cost
• Monitor billing procedure and especially non-standard services (VIP flights, events, any non-standard order)
• Monitor “days on hand” (inventory) development and align sales of material to 3rd party channels with Head of Supply Chain and regional finance

Leadership

• Operational performance review and forecasting cycle
• Ownership of overall OOE Budget while specific OOE’s allocated to the functional leaders
• Guide, motivate and develop the directly and indirectly subordinate employees
• Ensure a sustainable organization by recognizing talent, planning, training, coaching, hiring and succession planning
• Make the company's values and management principles live in the CSC
• Plan, implement and control the cost and investment budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations

Applicants Must Have

• University Degree – specializing in management accounting (CIMA would be advantageous)
• 5 – 10 years’ experience in multinational manufacturing concern
• Project Management Experience
• Fluent in English, written and oral
• Computer Literate
• Airline Industry would be advantageous
