    Operations Manager

    • Assume responsibility in running the branches for the KZN region efficiently and profitably;
    • Assist on the management of the Specialised Fleet in the region
    • Achieve budgets and profits;
    • Managing of operations and staff and fleet for all KZN branches;
    • Marketing and selling the rental of vehicles;
    • Assist branches with quotations;
    • Debt Collection;
    • Operations Administration.
    • Structured monthly EXCO visits and reporting progress and operational problems
    • Assist in resolving day-to-day operational queries.
    • Prompt response to all branch queries.
    • Prepare and present proposals to MD and the Regional Executive.
    • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
    • Submitting monthly operations and sales Reports.
    • Conduct monthly Operations and Sales meetings.
    • Responsible for the training, coaching and mentoring of all staff.
    • Maintain good working relationship with clients and staff.
    • Monitor competitor activity.
    • Must be a Team Player.

    Qualifications Required:

    • Matric
    • Relevant degree, diploma or certificate.

    Skills and Experience Required:

    • Previous Branch/ Operations Management experience with proven track record.
    • Strong operational experience in managing fleet.
    • Must be able to travel extensively to the branches within the region when necessary and as required.
    • Attend monthly Opsco and EXCO in Gauteng.
    • Understanding of general business, financial and operational concepts.
    • Experience in all aspects of client and staff relationship management.
    • Strong understanding of client and market dynamics and requirements.
    • A certain level of technical knowledge is advantageous.
    • Professional in all aspects.
    • Very good interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
    • Positive attitude.
    • Resilience - Ability to work under pressure.
    • Emotional intelligence, leadership and diversity management skills and experience required.
    • Strong administration and people management skills and experience.

    Other Requirements:

    • Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
    • A high level of computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel and SAP.
