Orders Clerk at Astral Foods Ltd

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

• Capturing and processing customer orders received via telephone and email, accurately and efficiently;
• Managing and monitoring cash sales and COD transactions;
• Applying planning and forecasting skills to reschedule orders when required;
• Handling customer queries and complaints professionally and timeously;
• Ensuring strict adherence to company policies and procedures;
• Maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs;
• Reviewing standing orders and action any outstanding or carry-over orders.                     

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: 

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong overall computer literacy
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage customer complaints effectively
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Valid driver’s license
