Part-time Lecturer/Junior Lecturer: Math/Mathematical Literacy, Dept. of SP & FET, Faculty of Education ((contract ending 31 December 2024) - (7117) at Cape Peninsula University of Technology

• A relevant M.Ed- or Hons-degree in Math Education ((Please note that preference will be given to candidates with a relevant Masters degree)
• Mathematics as a major at Bachelor’s level 
• A relevant teaching qualification
• At least two (2) years’ recent experience in teaching Math Literacy at tertiary level or five (5) years recent experience teaching the subject at school level.
• Knowledge, understanding and experience in the preparation and evaluation of meaningful teaching experiences for Senior and FET Phase students 

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

• Teaching in the Senior and FET Phase from First to Fourth year level 
• Learning materials design and preparation 
• Assessment, marking and uploading of student marks 
• Coaching and mentoring students
• Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
