A relevant M.Ed- or Hons-degree in Math Education ((Please note that preference will be given to candidates with a relevant Masters degree)
Mathematics as a major at Bachelor’s level
A relevant teaching qualification
At least two (2) years’ recent experience in teaching Math Literacy at tertiary level or five (5) years recent experience teaching the subject at school level.
Knowledge, understanding and experience in the preparation and evaluation of meaningful teaching experiences for Senior and FET Phase students
Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
Teaching in the Senior and FET Phase from First to Fourth year level
Learning materials design and preparation
Assessment, marking and uploading of student marks
Coaching and mentoring students
Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
