    Partnerships Manager (On Grid) – Southern Africa

    The partnerships manager – South Africa will work as a part of the ESA Part team to help Sun King expand their market of inverter systems to new, unexplored markets across and beyond the current active areas by finding relevant importers and distribution partners to help Sun King expand its inverter market. 
    We are looking for well-networked candidates within the inverter industry who can leverage their connections and experience to drive Sun King’s latest inverter offering. The candidate must have a strong inverter sales background with importers and distributors across South Africa and possess strong communication skills in English. Additional languages will be an added advantage. 

    What you would be expected to do:

    •  Drive the recruitment of new partners from the inverter segment. 
    •  Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
    •  Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
    •  Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone
    •  Account management: Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients.
    •  Understand your customers' needs and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
    •  Have a good understanding of the inverter market and be able to advise others about them. 
    •  Develop and execute a promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department.
    •  Liaise with the finance team, warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate.
    •  Build relationships with relevant local and regional associations to increase Sun King’s reach across the region.
    •  Seek ways of improving the way the business operates.
    •  Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate
    •  Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.
    •  Plan and execute sales campaigns.
    •  Negotiate pricing with customers and suppliers in some cases. 
    •  Increase sales of the business.
    •  Carry out sales forecasts and analysis. 
    •  Have a proven technical sales and account management track record. 
    •  Help develop the business sales and marketing strategy.

    You might be a strong candidate if you:

    •  Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in management or equivalent. Engineering and Sales/Account management combination is ideal.
    •  Have at least five years of experience in an international business development role.
    •  Have strong written and verbal fluency in English. Fluency in Portuguese would be great but optional.
    •  Possess 5 or more years of experience in a frontline sales role in the inverter and power backup business sector.  
    •  Are knowledgeable of relevant associations to promote the brand offerings.
    •  Adapt well to different cultures and nationalities
    •  Are ready to get out of your comfort zone and travel 7 - 10 days/month.
    •  Are hands-on and prompt in getting back to partners and closing leads
    •  Have strong negotiation skills
