A reputable industrial company is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer with strong payroll administration experience to manage remuneration, benefits, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Administer payroll processes, including salaries, deductions, and benefits.
Handle payroll-related queries and liaise with employees and third parties.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PAYE, UIF, tax, pension contributions).
Prepare and submit payroll reports, including EMP201, EMP501, and IRP5 submissions.
Manage UIF declarations and employee exit documentation (e.g. UI19).
Assist with COIDA claims and labour-related documentation.
Prepare month-end journals and payroll-related reports (overtime, leave balances, headcount).
Maintain accurate payroll records and document control systems.
Analyse remuneration data and provide insights to management.
Support HR functions including induction, wellness programmes, and budgeting.
Keep up to date with payroll legislation and company policies.
Assist with ad hoc HR projects and reporting.
Requirements:
Matric / Grade 12.
Relevant qualification in HR, Payroll, or Accounting.
Minimum 5 years’ payroll experience (including full payroll function).
At least 2 years’ experience on Psiber (essential).
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory reporting.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
