Payroll processing on an automated payroll package
Performing SARS e-filing and all other payroll related filings
Maintaining personnel databases
Working directly with a variety of different clients and be able to successfully address and resolve employee payroll matters
Preparing payroll reports and providing accurate company data to management/clients/bookkeepers
Liaising with the Dept of Labour, SARS and other legislative bodies in the performance of all payroll related duties
Performing payroll reconciliations and other reports, as required
Attending to administrative tasks, as required
Assisting the Africa Desk with payroll activities in other African countries (eg Kenya)
Required qualifications and attributes:
Matric with Maths Higher Grade and Payroll Diploma - non-negotiable.
At least 5 years payroll experience servicing multiple clients as an outsourced service provider.
Knowledge of SAGE Pastel Payroll.
Solid knowledge and experience of current payroll tax laws as well as common payroll legislative compliance procedures. Must be able to demonstrate up to date payroll tax knowledge in an interview.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and be able to work well with numerical data.
Ability to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced multi-client environment.
Must have a passion for payroll and People’s person.
Fully proficient in a broad range of computer skills are necessary such as excel & word.
A good command of the English language both written and speech.
Clerical skills very important, must be versatile and willing to also deal with administrative tasks.
Ability to work in a hybrid work environment (Home & Office).
