    People and Change Graduate Programme FY24

    Description and purpose of the role:

    • The business world is constantly evolving with accelerating advances in technology and changes in business models transforming the rules and risks of the game. We need dynamic people with a fresh perspective to join our diverse team within KPMG’s Digital Consulting (“DC”), People and Change unit, to assist us in taking our client-focused services to the next level.
    • We work with our clients to cut through their most complex strategic challenges and build tailored, practical solutions to help them develop more efficient and effective operations and develop actionable plans to mitigate the business challenges rooted in their operating environments. This includes applying various methodologies across projects related to organisational change and culture, Human Resource digital transformation, and workforce transformation.
    • The DC People and Change graduate programme is designed to teach you how to provide clients with detailed value-adding solutions within a rapidly evolving technological environment, underpinned by an understanding of the wider business implications. Our people and change graduates are drawn from a pool of human capital specialists to enhance their skills. There is also an opportunity for individuals looking to complete their Industrial/Organisational Psychology internships.

    Key responsibilities and services exposure:

    The successful candidate will gain exposure to all aspects and phases of the People and Change project lifecycle (from strategy, through to design and implementation); across the different People and Change service offerings.

    The successful candidate will be required to work in teams, together with experienced consultants, to deliver on client facing engagements. This may include:

    • Assistance in the execution of the project scope
    • Brainstorming ideas and solutions with their team members
    • Identifying areas for improvement for and creating solutions to streamline the client’s service delivery / organisational structures and ways of working / technology / governance & control / performance data & insights / processes and procedures
    • Research and collection of evidence to assist in the problem solving process for clients
    • Assistance with project control (initiation, tracking, reporting, risk management, budget analysis)
    • Liaising with all levels of client personnel (e.g. hosting client interviews, meetings, and workshops)
    • ·Creation and presentation of client deliverables (data models, reports, presentations etc.)

    Qualifications
    Qualifications Required: 

    Currently in the final Honours/Masters year (M1 must be completed by the start of employment) of studying a degree with business and technical related competencies such as:

    • BCom Honours Human Resource Management/Related
    • MCom/MA/MBusSci in Industrial/Organisational Psychology
    • Minimum 65% academic average across all years of study

    Critical skills, attributes and capabilities of the potential candidate include:

    • Excellent communication (written & verbal) in English. Comfort in communicating with those for whom English is not a first language.
    • Comfortable interacting with people at all levels of seniority especially online / phone.
    • Good at building relationships, irrespective of the level of the person.
    • Willingness to learn and be agile.
    • Openminded and inquisitive.
    • Capable of working remotely.
    • Enthusiastic, confident, and willing to go the extra mile.
    • Strong analytical thinking.
    • Proficient in use of applications, such as the Microsoft suite (Powerpoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel).
    • Solution-oriented / focused.
    • Ability to adapt to changing environments:
    • Accountable and responsible
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise.
