Planning Manager at PEP

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To manage the working capital of the Business Area, planning sales and inflows

and executing those plans through stock management and strategic leadership to achieve balance between service and stock levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Provide input, communicate and implement the Business Area’s strategy
•  Create, implement and monitor the Business Area’s Operating plan
•  Manage financial performance of the Business Area
•  Planning and management of the working capital
•  Achieve operational results/Operational effectiveness
•  Ensure alignment and re-alignment of Business Area with the Planning strategy
•  Provide sales and in-flow plan to meet agreed departmental KPIs
•  Realistic re-forecasting on plans
•  OTB Management
•  Allocations and Distributions
•  Price adjustments
•  Store performance review and analysis
•  Country support and competitor analysis
•  Analysis of product and store performance
•  Propose new developments and changes based on business requirements
•  People leadership
•  Ad hoc tasks and involvement in projects

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant Commercial Tertiary Qualification
• 5+ years retail planning experience
• 2+ years planning management experience
•  Extensive retail knowledge and experience (market understanding & product knowledge)
•  Understanding of buying & supply chain processes
•  Experience in planning tools, i.e. EP ideal
•  Exposure to Warehouse Management System (WMS) advantageous
•  Willingness to travel to African countries occasionally when required
•  Computer Literacy (advanced) – G Suite
•  SA citizen
