To maintain, manage and coordinate management accounting and costing activities of Gyproc, Isover and Distribution Centres including providing costing and other information to evaluate performance and support decision making.
Responsibilities:
Accurate Product Costing (Standard Costs & Actual Costs) to support business decisions
Cost Analysis and Production Variance Analysis in order to identify and address anomalies.
Perform cost simulations and provide unit costs for new products and changes to products.
Attendance and participation in site meetings as part of the Plant Steering Committee
Financial evaluation of Operations as and when required
Define and develop reports to monitor Plant performance
Drive Plant costs down by continuously reviewing costs and identifying opportunities for savings.
Ensure accurate Group Industrial (K2 Financial Data) reporting for benchmarking with other SG entities.
Provide costing reports (Plant Fixed Costs, Maintenance, Overtime, productivity etc) to Management with recommendations on a monthly basis.
Preparation and monitoring of Cost of Factors evolution.
Ensure application of cost accounting systems and procedures
Support compliance with business controls at the site.
Participation in inventory counts, reviewing inventory scrapping and adjustments and addressing root causes
Co-ordinate SAP CO month end closure process
Revaluation of Finished Goods inventory to actual.
Industrial Investment appraisals including ROI calculation to support capital expenditure motivations including performing post completion audits and evaluation.
Ownership/ Support of WCM Cost Deployment
Co-ordination and collection of annual cost centre budgets, including SAP models to calculate budgeted unit costs.
Preparation of Rolling forecast and month estimated costs.
Ensure annual standard costs for all products are set up correctly.
Adhoc exercises as and when required by management
Qualifications
Matric
B Com Accounting or National Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting or equivalent
Qualified CIMA and/ MBA or CA
Required skills
At least 5 years costing experience in a manufacturing environment
SAP knowledge a pre requisite
Advanced computer Literacy (MS Office)
Strong analytical skills
Robust Leadership skills
Problem solving skills
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
