Platform DevOps Engineer at Lulalend

OVERALL PURPOSE

• We are building a small, focused innovation pod inside a fintech scale-up — and we need someone who can make sure the systems we build actually reach production safely.
• This is not a maintenance role. You will be shaping the deployment and data infrastructure for a team that moves fast and builds things that matter. You will own everything from CI/CD pipelines to database migrations, observability, and environment promotion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, safe deployment
• Own the infrastructure layer on Azure: environments, configuration, secrets, networking
• Plan and execute database schema migrations safely — including rollback strategies
• Set up and maintain observability: logging, metrics, alerting
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Azure managed services
• Promote builds from development through staging to production with confidence
• Collaborate directly with the backend and frontend engineers in the pod
• Document infrastructure decisions so production teams can inherit what we build

THE EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Demonstrated experience owning CI/CD pipelines end-to-end
• Production experience with database migrations in a regulated or financial environment
• Hands-on with Docker and Azure managed services
• Strong understanding of observability tooling and incident response
• Comfortable operating as the sole platform function within a small team
• Systematic approach to deployment risk and rollback planning
• IaC experience is a strong advantage but not a blocker for the right candidate (Terraform or equivalent)

Advantageous:

• Familiarity with agentic development workflows or AI-assisted tooling
• Prior experience preparing systems for handoff to a larger ops or platform team
