    Pre-Sales Specialist

    • Datacentrix is looking to appoint a Pre-Sales Specialist, the candidate will be required to work closely with sales teams in providing them with clerical support to ensure that the products being offered can be tailored to meet the customers’ requirements. 

    Qualification and Experience Required:

    • Matric plus IT Diploma/Degree
    • 2 - 4 years experience working within a technical pre sales position.
    • Must be a subject matter expert with extensive software systems experience.
    • An ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand.

    Key Performance Areas
    Customer Experience/Satisfaction:

    • Work closely with the sales team in the area of product suitability and service delivery expectations
    • Advise on bid / no bid decisions based on technical and commercial considerations
    • Articulate (through written submissions and oral presentations) solutions to both technical and non-technical customers
    • Support sales efforts with in-depth product and business knowledge
    • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the company’s products and service offerings and methodologies
    • Work with the product development teams to capture new customer requirements and develop and expand the product portfolio
    • Work with the post-sales team in handing over any pre-sales efforts
    • Represent the company in a professional manner and build good relationships with clients to the company’s benefit
    • Producing detailed costings for customers and ensuring the contract is profitable.
    • Customer Engagement – See customers regularly.
    • No customer issues.
    • Ensure that customers proposals are correct and of high quality, register projects effectively and early.
    • Identify targets accounts and drive into them.

    People Management/Development:

    • Participate with your Account Managers in order to get close to customers.
    • Work with vendors to find new opportunities.
