    Process Engineer - Manufacturing (42044)

    Job Description

    Job Summary:

    • A leading automotive manufacturing client is seeking a skilled Process Engineer.  The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring quality standards are met in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, hands-on experience with process improvement methodologies, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering or Process Engineering.
    • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
    • Proven experience with LEAN Six Sigma (Yellow Belt or Green Belt, highly preferred).
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data for process improvements.
    • Hands-on experience with manufacturing process optimization and waste reduction strategies.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Proficiency in CAD software and process mapping tools is an advantage.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyze, design, and implement efficient manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.
    • Utilize LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to streamline workflows.
    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for production processes.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process efficiency and implement corrective actions where necessary.
    • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to optimize throughput and minimize downtime.
    • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
    • Support new product introduction and process validation activities.
    • Conduct training and workshops on process improvements and LEAN methodologies for production staff.
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic initiatives for operational excellence.
