    Product Manager (Fulfillment)

    Who’s who

    • This position reports to the Superbalist Head of Product

    The high level

    • Working with the Head of Product to define the vision and roadmap of features and services for the Superbalist (and/or the Takealot Group) fulfilment product. This includes owning innovation and improvements to the products used to fulfil our customer orders and ensure we stand by our core principle of putting our customers first. The role is inherently cross-functional, working closely with engineering, design, operations, various stakeholders and executive teams to bring about product enhancements for our fulfilment network and our customers.
    • This role may also have a special interest in further enhancing the Returns processes and experiences for our customers.
    • You will work with business owners to understand their strategy, requirements and priorities in order to translate needs into recommended initiatives & projects that affect the fulfilment product.
    • You will define and track the metrics and data that will inform all decisions on product features and functionality and create business cases to motivate the prioritisation of these initiatives.
    • You will analyse and understand project scope and core objectives through requirements workshops with stakeholders to define business requirements
    • You will elicit detailed, low level functional requirements and document these requirements such that detailed technical specifications can be compiled by Engineering.
    • Collaborate with technical lead and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
    • You will project manage a team of Developers, BI analysts and UI Designers in order to define development requirements, business drivers and competitive analysis and track the execution of these requirements to final product delivery.
    • Evolve appropriate Product Management practices for a responsive, dynamic environment to foster cost-effective execution to commitments
    • Be proactive in ensuring that the development and QA teams understand the requirements by attending daily team meetings and initiating functional clarification sessions where needed.
    • Setting timelines, driving project schedules and leading cross-functional development teams from design through to release.
    • Review the test plan and test scripts to ensure quality and coverage.
    • Performing user acceptance testing when needed.

    Your qualifications & experience

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent 5 years industry experience, would be beneficial.
    • 3-5 years of product management experience (e-commerce experience would be an advantage).
    • Data and research-driven, analytical approach to features and changes.
    • Proven track record of delivering business value.
    • Detail-oriented, and comfortable generating relevant artefacts for an effective, light production process.
    • Proficiency to manage a diverse workload and assign priorities to tasks.
    • Familiarity and significant experience with agile and lean processes.
    • Prior experience in online Retail and/or Supply Chain highly preferred
