    BI Analyst

    Head of Editorial / Content + Creative Studio

    Purpose of the Role:

    This role is key to the creative and communication output of the Superbalist brand. The Head of Content works closely with the CMO, the Head of Brand and Head of Retail to continuously evolve, define and communicate Superbalist’s, identity of being the #1 fashion retailer in South Africa. This role is pivotal in the development and leadership of the customer-centric content strategy and owns the innovation, creativity, opex, analytics, technology and KPI’s across engagement-based; content marketing.

    The primary functions and deliverables of the role include, but are not limited to:

    Content Strategy + Brand 

    • Brand Identity - Work with the CMO/ Head of Brand to manifest the overarching marketing strategy across all the BTL channels 
    • Digitally Optimised Content - Develop and oversee implementation of a sound, customer-centric, digital content strategy with optimised frequency
    • Merchandising - Work with retail to ensure the product offering is surfaced and communicated in the right place and the right time, for the right customer.
    • Creative Guidelines - Develop, oversee and maintain creative guidelines across all departments to ensure cohesion and consistency for the brand

    Content Creation + Production

    • Campaign Management - Own the editorial and content calendar and manage key campaigns across all departments in line with brand guidelines whilst ensuring that all communication supports the broader business strategy and, through collaboration with the creative teams, effectively convert retail and trading messages into customer relevant, fashion-credible campaigns/stories.
    • Collaborate with the Brand team to develop and implement cross-functional marketing campaigns to ensure maximum reach on key messages.
    • CRM - work with the CRM team to ensure all email communication is in line with the Superbalist brand
    • Sponsored Content - Work with the Sponsored Content Manager to conceptualize content proposals to third party brands and ensure that all partnership content is true to the Superbalist brand guidelines for brand consistency

    Product Manager (Fulfillment)

    Who’s who

    • This position reports to the Superbalist Head of Product

    The high level

    • Working with the Head of Product to define the vision and roadmap of features and services for the Superbalist (and/or the Takealot Group) fulfilment product. This includes owning innovation and improvements to the products used to fulfil our customer orders and ensure we stand by our core principle of putting our customers first. The role is inherently cross-functional, working closely with engineering, design, operations, various stakeholders and executive teams to bring about product enhancements for our fulfilment network and our customers.
    • This role may also have a special interest in further enhancing the Returns processes and experiences for our customers.
    • You will work with business owners to understand their strategy, requirements and priorities in order to translate needs into recommended initiatives & projects that affect the fulfilment product.
    • You will define and track the metrics and data that will inform all decisions on product features and functionality and create business cases to motivate the prioritisation of these initiatives.
    • You will analyse and understand project scope and core objectives through requirements workshops with stakeholders to define business requirements
    • You will elicit detailed, low level functional requirements and document these requirements such that detailed technical specifications can be compiled by Engineering.
    • Collaborate with technical lead and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.

    Planning Manager

    The Planning Manager is responsible for the creation of the Departmental financial strategy and execution of the Business strategy of Superbalist, by managing a team that delivers a product offering that exceeds the customers’ expectations and achieves sales and profit targets combined with effective inventory management.

    Key Skills & Experience:

    Senior Buyer (Home + Living)

    Description:

    • As a Senior Buyer you will contribute to the continued growth of Superbalist as manager of a number of categories within a department whilst managing members of the team. Your primary accountability is to build balanced range assortments, negotiating the best price and securing the right depth to deliver a desirable fashion offer targeted at a millennial customer.

    • Collaborate closely with your retail planner to create balanced assortments in the right depth across the right items to optimise sell-through .Confidently compile and present quarterly product strats, range reviews and post seasonals to retail heads, supported by sales, customer and trend data.
    • Manage the product process from design, briefing, development and sealing to go live on site.
    • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to negotiate best price, great value offers and exclusive stock and brands
    • Analyse and interpret data continuously to drive the right purchasing decisions; be adaptable and nimble enough to ensure all actions and reactions meet the demands of the customer.
    • Monitor stock, sales, margin and assortment to ensure delivery of KPI’s.
    • Compile weekly trade feedback reports and present to your manager every Monday.

    Sample Seamstress

    The Role

    • We are looking for a highly talented Sample Seamstress to join our Cape Town Vertical Design team to be responsible for timeous and accurate sewing of samples as specified by the Designer and Pattern Maker. 
    • This position reports to the Design Room Manager.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Make garments without samples
    • Need to be able to do all operations on a garment i.e. zip insertion, pleating, ruching etc.
    • Must be versatile and able to operate efficiently on all sewing machines
    • Knowledge of basic machine setting a requirement
    • Must be able to use the correct needles depending on the fabric quality being used
    • Must be able to identify pattern problems while making up the garment
    • Raise construction issues early and find alternatives to improve minute rate
