Product Manager: Monitoring & Control at AECI Limited

About the job

• Compiles technical specifications and operation manuals for M&C equipment packages
• Compiles product data sheets, marketing documentation and other sales support literature for M&C equipment
• Improves company working capital by optimising M&C equipment stockholding and minimising stock obsolescence
• Researches and develops new monitoring and control systems and packages in line with the company’s strategy
• Provides technical support to related departments on M&C systems
• Manages ImproServ asset performance monitoring workflows and 3rd party SLAs
• Works hand in hand with Technology partners, Engineering and Product Management teams to introduce and facilitate M&C systems
• Ensures personal safety compliance and manages safety risks in his/her areas of responsibility
• Manages workflow for equipment requisitions, approvals and purchases
• Conducts site surveys with Sales and Engineering teams to ensure correct specification and installation of M&C equipment
• Conducts technical training for Sales team, Field Service Technicians and Customers w.r.t. M&C equipment installation, operation and maintenance
• Works individually, or in multi-disciplinary teams on strategic projects defined by the H.O.D. or Technology Executive
• Compiles Capex applications and motivations as and when required, proactively engages with tech suppliers on latest and cost effective hardware and software
• Client interface and representing the company in best interests
• Being aware of cyber risks and ensuring protocols in place with alignment to company’s requirements

Qualifications & Experience    

• Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering
• Related qualifications in fields of Electronics Engineering / Electromechanician (Millwright)
• Additional Business qualification/s will be advantageous
• Water and wastewater treatment industry knowledge > 5 years
• PLC programming knowledge
• Experience in Electronic equipment installation, servicing and maintenance
• Research and development (monitoring and control systems)
• Project Management
