Description

• Provide advice to Customer Service Management and workshops on technical problems or issues.
• Carry out specialised in-field fault elimination processes and repairs when required.
• Coordinate any required in-field tests and track results.
• Compile detailed technical reports when required.
• Liaise with technical departments at MAN Germany with regards to solutions for in-field problems.
• Assist CSM staff & where necessary, liaise with relevant departments on technical matters of concern.
• Compile technical bulletins for MAN and VW Issue campaign notices, both local and from MTB AG.
• Manage the SSD system.
• Ensure that AFI’s are completed for field defects.
• Provide MANCATS 3 support and assist with repairs.
• Provide technical and dealer support for MAN vehicles, electrical issues and problems.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Grade: 12 Matric Certificate.
• N3 and possess a Diesel Mechanic trade test certificate.

• Customer focused (Internal and External).
• Must be results and process orientated, be proactive and team orientated.
• Good communication (oral and written) & interpersonal relations skills.
• Business and technical report writing together with strong presentation skills.
• Work independently though being a team player.
• Time Management Skills.
• Work accurately under pressure and be able to meet deadlines.
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work with little supervision.
• Analytical and strategic skills to identify problems thereafter solve them.

Experience:

• Experience as a qualified artisan - 5 years.
