The Production Manager will lead and motivate a team, optimise resources, and drive continuous improvement to meet business and customer objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
Matric/Grade 12 (essential).
Higher Certificate/Diploma in Operations/Production Management (essential).
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (advantageous).
Up to 6 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of production processes, BOMs, and manufacturing functions.
MS Office proficiency, particularly Excel; Syspro experience advantageous.
Supervisory and people management experience.
Ability to implement lean manufacturing and JIT principles.
Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle (essential).
Key Responsibilities
Execute the daily production plan in line with BOMs, quality standards, and cost targets.
Lead, motivate, and manage production teams, ensuring adherence to OHSA and ISO 9001:2015.
Monitor resources, equipment, and progress; troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.
Drive lean initiatives, cost-saving measures, and continuous improvement.
Record and analyse waste to reduce losses.
Compile production stats, reports, and payroll inputs.
Investigate incidents and ensure compliance with safety standards.
